Professional portraits might only be created every few years, but will be displayed and viewed for many more. It’s important to get it right. I understand that you want a portrait that you love and that reflects your personality and your family’s.

I work with you to personalize the portrait and capture the right mood and setting. I can provide portrait services in my studio, but prefer to work "on location". A portrait taken in your home, garden, or favorite place will result in a more relaxed, enjoyable, and unique portrait.

Family portraits
Portraits from large chain photography businesses can lack variety, and often do not reflect a family’s personality. By using my services, you will have control over the portrait. There will be no waiting in long lines, no loud distractions, and the portrait will be unique to you and your family. In addition, I am happy to include pets in the "official" family portrait.

I provide a free consultation before the session to ensure that everything goes as efficiently as possible on the day. We will discuss details such as the timing and location of the portrait session and the colours and poses you would like. A smooth session will also ensure that we complete the portraits before children tire and become bored.

Graduation portraits
Graduating is an important event in your life and deserves to be captured in a special portrait. Regular school studios may not be able to tailor your session and may result in a standard portrait.

As an independent photographer, I can tailor the session and image to be unique to you so that you have a portrait that you and your family will love.

Please feel free to bring any kind of prop or material that will make the portrait more "you" (musical instruments, sports equipment, books etc.). I can also take portraits with friends and boyfriends or girlfriends.

Portraits of pets
As all animal lovers know, pets are as much a part of our families as our sons and daughters are. I am happy to include pets in the "official" family portrait.

In addition, there is no gift that a pet lover will enjoy more than a professional photograph of their much loved pet. I treat pet portraiture with the same importance as any other portrait, to ensure that the final product will be as loved and cherished as the pet.

Other types of portraits
